UFC 218 Betting Odds, Prop Bets For Updated Fight Card

The UFC 218 fight card is headlined by a title fight and what’s been unofficially deemed a No.1 contender fight. Max Holloway will defend his UFC featherweight championship against Jose Aldo in the main event, while Francis Ngannou and Alistair Overeem will face off in hopes of winning a UFC Heavyweight Championship opportunity.

Aldo is challenging for the belt that he held for most of his UFC career, though he’s a decided underdog in the rematch. In fact, the former champion has the worst betting odds of any fighter on Saturday’s main card. Aldo replaced the injured Frankie Edgar, who was supposed to get the title shot.

Aldo’s now infamous 13-second loss to Conor McGregor at UFC 194 ended his reign as UFC’s only-ever 145-pound champion. He regained the championship late last year when McGregor was stripped of the belt, but Aldo suffered a third-round knockout to Holloway at UFC 212 in June.

Holloway hasn’t lost since he was beaten by McGregor four years ago. The champ is on an 11-fight win streak.

Ngannou has never suffered a loss in UFC, going 5-0 since joining the promotion. None of his last three fights have gone beyond the first-round, making him the favorite over Overeem. Overeem is 2-0 since losing his title fight against Stipe Miocic at UFC 203, and a victory Saturday would likely land him a rematch for the belt.

Justin Gaethje is the only fighter on the main card that has never suffered a loss as a pro. The former WSOF champion is 18-0, and he’s hoping to defeat the man that lost the UFC lightweight title to McGregor. A win for Gaethje could put him one step closer toward a fight against the biggest star in UFC history.
