UFC Hall Of Famer To Host Charlize Theron's Netflix Reality Show
Newly inducted UFC hall of famer Michael Bisping will be hosting an upcoming reality TV series on Netflix.
Bisping has not been inside the cage since 2017. But apparently, he has kept himself busy with other gigs besides fighting.
Aside from releasing his own book, Bisping has quite established a career in showbiz after appearing on the action hit movie "xXx: Return of Xander Cage." And just recently, the former UFC middleweight champ has announced via social media that he will be hosting a reality TV series on Netflix.
Bisping said he was “honored” to be included in the show and expressed his excitement over the project on his official Twitter account. “This. Is. It. The GREATEST car and racing show ever. Beyond excited and honored to be a part of hyperdrivenetflix Drifting it way onto Netflix Aug 21st WORLDWIDE! Mark your calendars, and I’ll see you then!” Bisping wrote.
Netflix created a stunt-driving reality TV show with Academy Award-winning actress Charlize Theron called "Hyperdrive." The upcoming Netflix stunt-driving series is produced by Theron herself, and she personally revealed that she will also appear in the actual show, Entertainment Weekly reported.
“I mean, I love the speed,” Theron admitted.
Theron then revealed her “love for cars and competition.” She also admitted that she had been longing to do a reality/competition project for quite some time.
“I’ve been wanting to do a reality/competition project for a while, and when I heard about this concept I thought there was truly nothing on TV like it. It combines my love of cars and competition while maintaining that human element that I love about reality TV,” Theron revealed.
The reality show will feature elite street racers from around the world. It will test their limits in supercharged custom cars on the biggest, baddest automotive obstacle course ever built. The show will reportedly have 10 episodes.
Bisping has been regarded as one of the best middleweight fighters in the world. He finally became a UFC champ when he knocked out former middleweight champ Luke Rockhold.
Shortly after winning the title, Bisping fought an array of UFC superstars and one of them was MMA icon Georges St-Pierre. Unfortunately, Bisping suffered a devastating loss against St-Pierre via submission. The GSP loss was followed by a KO loss against UFC rising star Kelvin Gastelum.
Despite the back-to-back losses, Bisping, better known as “The Count,” is still considered an MMA legend and a UFC icon.
