For Jon Jones, being caught in the middle of controversy or trouble may be nothing new. And being the reigning UFC light heavyweight champion, it comes to no surprise that some people will try to use his past against him. And now, new claims have cropped up where Bones allegedly had his way on a cocktail waitress at a strip club back in April. Worse, the 32-year-old mixed martial artists allegedly slapped her private part.

According to TMZ Sports, Jones received criminal summons on the whole incident which went down at TD's Eubank Showclub. Per the report, Jones was with NFL star Chandler Jones at the time of the incident. According to the accuser, Jones wanted her to perform a lap dance on the UFC champion but she explained that she was a waitress and not a stripper - hence not allowed to dance for him.

Despite her explanation, she alleges that Jones still went on to grab her and kiss her neck. When the waitress went to the bar to get Jones' group shots, Jones came up behind her and applied a rear-naked chokehold which she was able to escape from. And it appears that this was where things started to get out of hand.

According to a recent report from KRQE, however, Jones was unaware of the whole ordeal and that he learned only of the charges through the news. The said incident curiously comes out two weeks after Bones successfully defended his UFC title against Thiago Santos. Further to the report, there was already a bench warrant for his arrest at the time.

Jones was supposed to appear before the court for a bond arraignment for the battery charge last month. But since he was a no-show, the bench warrant was issued. It turns out that the Metro Court tried to send Jones the letter but it bounced back. According to the UFC champ's camp, all of these claims are false accusations on Bones. Jones paid the $300 cash bond to the Metro Court last Sunday.

“Today, the media told Mr. Jones about a false accusation launched against him and that paperwork had been sent to an incorrect address. However, after receiving the documents from the press, Mr. Jones immediately went to pay the small fee, and he and multiple witnesses stand ready to factually refute the malicious lies being told about him to the public.”
