UFC Hall of Famers Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddell both said that former UFC heavyweight champ and WWE star Brock Lesnar is “scared of getting hit.”

Over the years, the UFC has gone through a lot of changes. Even the brand of fighters the promotion has been producing has gradually evolved from hardcore brawlers to extremely talented mixed martial artists.

In a recent episode of the “Adam Carolla Show” podcast, MMA legends Ortiz and Liddell are both convinced that UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones is a perfect example of a new generation fighter. As Ortiz and Liddell discussed Jones’ desire to move up to heavyweight and issues with newly-crowned middleweight king Israel Adesanya, Ortiz stated that Jones is a perfect match for UFC heavyweight champ Stipe Miocic.

“The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” also mentioned that Jones has plans of taking Lesnar out in the future. However, both Ortiz and Liddell agreed that the fight might never happen as Lesnar is scared of getting hit in a real fight.

Below is how the conversation went down.

Liddell: Maybe they’re (UFC) trying to make a big fight between the two of them (Jones and Adesanya).

Ortiz: Him (Jones) and Stipe (Miocic) would be a great match. And I know he’s trying to go after Brock Lesnar. (But) Brock don’t like to get punched.

Liddell: He’s really afraid of it. I wanna say this, he doesn’t like to get hit. That means his unnaturally scared of getting hit. Like he’s too afraid.

Last August, WWE legend Kurt Angle reopened the doors for a Lesnar UFC comeback. According to Angle, even though the WWE superstar is currently retired, Lesnar still wants to fight UFC light heavyweight champ Jones.

“I know he said that he’s retired. The one fight he wants, and I don’t know if it’s ever going to happen, but he wants to go up against Jon Jones,” Angle said.

Jones, on the other hand, responded to Angle’s claim by taking his thoughts about the potential fight to social media. In his post, Jones stated that Lesnar is “way too slow,” and if they ever meet each other inside the octagon, he’ll “embarrass him.”

Meanwhile, WWE have announced that Lesnar will be facing former UFC champ Cain Velasquez at WWE Crown Jewel. Although the fight isn’t a real fight, the bout is still hyped as the much awaited rematch between the two heavyweights. The fight will happen at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Thursday, Oct. 31.
