UFC President Dana White has opened up about former UFC Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and recently hinted at a Khabib vs. McGregor rematch.

To this day, UFC fans can't seem to get enough of WWE star and former UFC champion Brock Lesnar. White once again informed the media about the real reason why Lesnar left the promotion.

White had already confirmed that Lesnar is not coming back to fight the current UFC Heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier and instead will have a rematch with former heavyweight champ Stipe Miocic to headline UFC 241 in September.

Since then, rumors that Lesnar left because of pay-per-view issues have already begun. It is believed that the WWE star does not agree with the new terms and financial incentive schemes associated with the promotion's seven year deal with ESPN.

But in a recent interview, White addressed Lesnar's issue and clarified that Lesnar's decision to part ways with the UFC had nothing to do with PPV structure. According to White, it is a matter of a better offer and convincing power and in this case, WWE CEO Vince McMahon happened to offer Lesnar a good one which is enough to make him leave the UFC, MMA Fighting reported.

Before officially leaving UFC, it will remembered that Lesnar once made a surprise appearance after Cormier defeated Miocic in their first meeting which strongly suggests a UFC comeback. After that, UFC Lightheavyweight champion Jon Jones also called Lesnar out during a post fight interview. Unfortunately, neither of the two potential matches materialized.

While Lesnar's possible UFC comeback fades away, another UFC comeback seems to bring hope to big UFC fights fans around the world as former two-division title holder Conor McGregor just revealed that he is about to have his twelfth fight under the UFC promotion.

McGregor took his revelation to Twitter when he tweeted that he have had 11 fight with the UFC and the next one will be his twelfth.

In relation to this, White appeared on ESPN's SportsCenter Tuesday and provided updates regarding McGregor's return and the future of the lightweight division.

"Conor wants that fight. Conor wants the rematch with Khabib. All these guys have been fighting, again, this thing’s going to play out this weekend and then Sept. 7 in Abu Dhabi, and then we’ll figure out what’s next for Conor.”

White was very positive about a Nurmagomedov vs. McGregor 2 as he unveils the true status of the rematch, According to MMA Fighting.

"I could, I absolutely could [see a rematch],” White noted.

McGregor has not stepped inside the octagon since Khabib choked him out in UFC 229 and has also vowed for another fight since then.
