United Airlines CEO says business travel improving
Tilton says businesses putting people back on planes
The outlook for business travel continues to improve as companies gain more confidence in a global economic recovery, United Airlines' top executive said on Wednesday.
UAL Corp (UAUA.O) Chairman, President and Chief Executive Glenn Tilton is not seeing interruptions in the steady improvement in business travel that the industry has witnessed since the spring, he told reporters after an appearance before the Executives' Club of Chicago
We have seen a gradual, gradual pickup in business travel and some confidence returning to the companies that are represented in this room, Tilton said.
My conversations with most of my fellow CEOS on that topic is that they're putting people back on airplanes, he said.
