US Jobs Report: Economy Added 175,000 Jobs, Unemployment Rate Ticks Up To 6.7 Percent
The U.S. economy added 175,000 jobs in February, the Labor Department said on Friday. The unemployment rate ticked up to 6.7% from 6.6%, the department added. Analysts had expected the economy to add 140,000 jobs. The report said hourly average wages rose 9 cents to $24.31, but average workweek hours fell modestly to 34.2 hours.
