Mandy Moore is officially a mom after welcoming her first child with husband Taylor Goldsmith.
The "This Is Us" star, 36, gave her fans a glimpse of her bundle of joy Tuesday, sharing a photo of her baby boy on Instagram. However, the first-time mom was careful not to show her baby's full face.
"Gus is here," Moore wrote in the caption, revealing her son's nickname. "Our sweet boy, August Harrison Goldsmith. He was punctual and arrived right on his due date, much to the delight of his parents. We were prepared to fall in love in all sorts of brand new ways, but it goes beyond anything we could have ever imagined. M + T."
Moore's post was flooded with congratulatory messages from fellow celebrities and her followers. Brooklyn Decker wrote, "Welcome to the world, sweet Gus! Huge huge congratulations!"
"GUS!! We have a Gus in our family too! Congratulations!" Kimberly Williams-Paisley commented.
"Omg Mandy. Congrats my heart is bursting," Edin Espinosa wrote.
"Punctual!! We love that in a man!" Nora McInerny added.
"I love you GG and I can’t wait to meet you," Yashar Ali wrote.
In December, Moore took to Instagram to ask her followers for some advice, revealing that she continues to experience the difficulties of pregnancy in her third trimester, including being nauseous, sleepy and weepy. In another post, she thanked those who reached out to her and said she was feeling slightly better.
"I am grateful. It is just wild, hormones are crazy," she said while assuring fans that she was doing OK in a video with a caption that read, "Crying for no reason."
A month prior to her post, Moore showed off her baby bump when she attended the 2020 People's Choice Awards, where she took home a best actress trophy for her performance in the NBC family drama, "This Is Us." In her acceptance speech, Moore said playing Rebecca's story was the highlight of her career and expressed her excitement over the arrival of her baby.
"To the love of my life Taylor, I'm so excited to bring this baby boy into the world with you," she said. "This has been a challenging year for everybody so let's please keep each other safe. Let's continue to wear masks, socially distance, wash your hands and be kind to one another."
Moore and Goldsmith tied the knot in November 2018.
