‘This Is Us’ Star Chrissy Metz Talks Relationship With Josh Stancil
“This Is Us” star Chrissy Metz recently opened up about her relationship with Josh Stancil.
While speaking with People, the 36-year-old actress was asked whether or not she and Stancil have plans to move in together since they have already been together for a year. Metz said that she and her boyfriend won’t live together anytime soon since she’s still enjoying her independence.
“I like living on my own. I’ve never done it before so I’m going to enjoy it for as long as I can,” she said.

But even though Metz and Stancil won’t take their relationship to the next level in the near future, this does not mean that they are not serious about each other. According to Metz, she and the cameraman are just enjoying their life together.
“You know, we work more than we don’t work so when we do get some time with each other, we enjoy it. We went to a Dodgers game recently… we’re just living life. I’m not rushing into anything, and I don’t think that when you really care about somebody that you need to,” she said.
In June, Metz and Stancil attended the Television Academy Host Words Plus Music Celebration. The couple posed for photos while on the red carpet.
Last year, the actress told People that she is dating someone, but never revealed the identity of her boyfriend. “Here’s the thing, like, he needs to have his own life. I don’t want him roped into mine, so I just want to protect him,” she said at the time. In January that she and Stancil made their first public appearance together.
Meanwhile, Metz recently appeared on the “Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon and revealed that she only had 81 cents in her pocket when she got a call from “This Is Us” creator Dan Fogelman. After auditioning for the role of Kate Pearson, Metz felt that she didn’t do a good job so she wouldn’t be cast for the part. But she did, and the actress said that “This Is Us” changed her life tremendously.
“This Is Us” Season 2 will premiere on NBC on Sept. 26 at 9 p.m. EST.
