The United States beat France 3 to 1 in the Women's World Cup semifinals on Wednesday in Germany.

The U.S. will go against either Sweden or Japan, after the winner is determined in today's second semifinal.

On Sunday, the U.S. team had a dramatic victory in Brazil, which pushed the American women to play at the semifinals today.

I feel like our country is behind us, and that now the whole world is watching us, because people realize we've been playing some really good football, USA goalkeeper Hope Solo said after beating Brazil.

It is the first time America is going to the World Cup since 1999.
