USA Basketball Next Game: Start Time, Channel, Olympic Live Stream Info For Key Spain Showdown
The United States men’s basketball team has no more margin for error. Team USA will solely be playing elimination games for the rest of the Tokyo Olympics as it prepares for the knockout stage.
Three wins away from potentially earning another gold medal, the U.S. men are scheduled to play Spain in their next game The quarterfinal matchup starts Tuesday at 1:40 p.m. local time in Tokyo.
With Team USA and Spain set to meet at 12:40 a.m. ET, the contest won’t be broadcast live on network or cable television. A live stream will be available with Peacock, NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports app.

Team USA went 2-1 in Olympics group play. After being upset by France in their first contest of the Summer Games, Team USA easily took care of Iran and the Czech Republic.
Team USA blew out the Czech Republic 119-84 Saturday in their most recent contest. Kevin Durant led all U.S. players with 23 points, eight rebounds and six assists while shooting 8-11 from the field.
On July 18, Team USA beat Spain 83-76 in their final exhibition game before heading to Japan. Damian Lillard scored 19 points, and Keldon Johnson added 15 points off the bench.
When they defeated Spain, the U.S. was without Devin Booker, Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton, who were busy playing in the NBA Finals. Booker and Holiday have started in both of the team’s Olympic victories.
Spain also went 2-1 in group play. The team was beaten in its last game, losing to Slovenia 95-87. NBA players Ricky Rubio and Marc Gasol are Spain’s top players. New Orleans Pelicans big man Willy Hernangomez, as well as former NBA players Pau Gasol and Rudy Fernandez are on the roster.
Team USA defeated Spain in the 2008 and 2012 Olympic gold medal games. Spain won the bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics as the U.S. claimed its third straight gold.
