The United States Women’s National Team will be honored Wednesday with a parade in New York City. The celebration comes three days after Team USA defeated the Netherlands 2-0 in France to win the 2019 World Cup.

The ticker-tape-parade starts Wednesday morning at 9:30 a.m. EDT at Battery Park in downtown Manhattan. It will continue along the Canyon of Heroes, moving up to City Hall via Broadway. The celebration will conclude with a ceremony at City Hall.

The parade is free and open to the public. Tickets to the ceremony at City Hall are no longer available, but you’ll be able to watch a free live stream of the event on the official YouTube page of the New York City Mayor’s Office.

FOX and ABC will be airing the parade on TV locally in New York.

The 23 players from the USWNT roster put together one of the great runs in American sports history. The champions never trailed in the entire tournament, outscoring their seven opponents 26-3.

Megan Rapinoe won both the Golden Ball award for being the World Cup’s best player and the Golden Boot award for leading all players in goals scored.

Sunday’s victory gave the USWNT their record-setting fourth World Cup championship, successfully defending their 2015 World Cup title. The team was also honored with a New York City parade four years ago.

The 2015 USWNT was the last team to have a ticker-tape-parade thrown in their honor in New York City.
