USA Women’s Volleyball vs. Dominican Republic: Watch Live Stream Online, Preview For 2012 Olympic Matchup
The U.S. women's volleyball team continues their quest to win a gold medal at the 2012 Olympics. They are set to begin their quarterfinals match with the Dominican Republic on Tuesday afternoon.
The match is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. ET and can be seen live on NBC. If you can't get to a television, you can watch a free live stream online by clicking here.
Team USA has been dominant thus far, going undefeated in group play. In five matches during the preliminary round, the U.S. only lost two out of 17 total sets.
The U.S. got a scare when team captain Lindsey Berg injured her left ankle against Turkey. This is Berg's third Olympics and she says she'll probably be fine for the matchup.
"Thank you everyone for your concerns & support," tweeted Berg. "I am fine & will be taking one day at a day ... love my team."
The Dominican Republic isn't expected to give the U.S. much competition. They are the 11th-ranked team, and are -2.5 underdogs, according to the online betting Web site Bovada. The D.R. went 2-3 during group play.
The American women have yet to win an indoor volleyball tournament at the London Olympics. They won the silver in 2008 in Beijing.
If Team USA wins, they'll play again on Thursday in the semifinals, with the gold medal match scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 10.
