‘V Rising’: Best Base Locations

Castles can be built almost everywhere in “V Rising,” but this doesn’t mean players should just pick the nearest spot of flat land and settle down there permanently.

A base location’s proximity to resources is arguably the most important thing to consider when picking a spot to build a castle. But there are other things players should think about before spending their time and resources on making their home.

Here are some of the best locations to build castles in “V Rising.”

Farbane Woods

The main resource players will want to farm for in Farbane Woods is copper since it is the only region in the world with a copper mine. This mine is also close to the Bandit Armory, an excellent spot to get some Whetstones.

Building anywhere near the mine or armory is great at the start, but later on, players can move their base or create a completely new one by the Bandit Sulphur Quarry.

The quarry has a cave entrance connected directly to the northern tip of the Cursed Forest. Players will be able to farm for Ghost Shrooms and Scales more efficiently by taking the cave entrance back to base and teleporting back to the Cursed Forest via Waygate. This also eliminates the need to build a base near the swamp.

Dunley Farmlands

Since the farmlands are the heart of Vardoran, players may want to build a castle somewhere in the middle of this region. This will grant easy access to all resources and quick routes to all surrounding regions.

A base near the Haunted Iron Mine would be preferable.

Silverlight Hills

Silverlight is a very dangerous area, especially for low-level vampires. However, it also has one of the best material farming locations in the game — Brighthaven Docks.

Just north of Brighthaven is a large, open space where players can build their castle in peace. It’s also very close to the Sacred Silver Mine.

This area has a few copper and Sulphur nodes, which can provide players with some much-needed materials without venturing out too far away.
