This year Valentine’s Day falls on a weekend, so it’s the perfect opportunity to take a short trip and spend a couple of days with your special someone in a whole new place. Many hotels and airlines are offering romantic packages throughout February, which means there are plenty of options.
But if you’re thinking about traveling some place popular, make sure to book your trip as soon as possible. You want to get your ideal location and have everything planned out before the weekend arrives. Here are some of the best, most romantic options for Valentine’s Day 2016.
The Mark Hotel — New York, NY

One of the more enticing options is at the Mandarin Oriental, Atlanta, which is offering customers a Decadent Romance package from Feb. 5-13. Rooms start at $595 per night, and this includes in-room breakfast each day, rose petal turndown service, chocolates, champagne and tickets to the Atlanta Ballet’s “Moulin Rouge.”
Terranea Resort — Los Angeles, California
The Romance Package at this California getaway includes sparkling wine, strawberries, a rose petal bath and daily breakfast for two. Rooms fall between $530 and $740 per night, and the resort is known for its spa, coastal hikes and kayaking. On Valentine’s Day weekend, you can also sign up for the inaugural Valentine’s Day Ball, a roaring 20s gala with live music and a three-course dinner.
Hotel Monaco — Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Grand Pigalle Hotel — Paris, France
This hotel is offering a “From SoPi With Love” package to give lovers the ultimate Parisian Valentine’s Day. Rooms will be decorated with rose petals and chocolates, and the package includes a three-course dinner at the hotel restaurant. Couples also get breakfast in bed and a wine tasting or a cocktail mixology class. The package starts at 330 euros, or $336, per night, according to the New York Times.
