Valeria Lukyanova Diet: How Do 'Breatharians' Live Without Food Or Water? [PHOTOS]
Valeria Lukyanova is taking the title of “real-life Barbie” to a whole new level. The Ukrainian model now wants to survive without having to eat or drink and, lo and behold, there’s actually a diet out there where followers try not to consume any food or liquids.
"In recent weeks I have not been hungry at all," Lukyanova said, as per International Business Times Australia. "I'm hoping it's the final stage before I can subsist on air and light alone.”
She’s apparently embarking on a diet called “Breatharianism,” where participants survive on light and air alone. It sounds ultra strange, but there are a few different websites dedicated to the New Age diet, and one of them is complete with a question-and-answer section -- just in case anyone was interested in existing on “cosmic micro-food.”
“The capacity to live on light is directly related to our ability to attract, absorb and radiate Divine Love which is determined by our lifestyle,” Jasmuheen, a proponent of Breatharianism wrote. “When we are well tuned and four body fit, we can access an inner power, which has the ability to love us, guide us, heal us and also nourish our cells.”
Jezebel.com maintains the Ukrainian model is just trying to keep up her “dollish” looks, which includes an ultra-thin waist.
While it might sound bizarre to most people, it’s not the first outlandish thing Lukyanova has claimed. She has said she can communicate with aliens through light. She reportedly thinks she’s from another planet, has the ability to travel through time and has out-of-body experiences -- but these are claims that came after she first made headlines.
Lukaynova is best known for trying to become a live-looking doll. The 38-year-old has gone to what many would say are extreme measures to achieve the look, and allegedly even wants to become brainless through hypnotheraphy to complete the effect.
