'Vampire Diaries' Season 6 Spoilers: Episode 15 Synopsis Released; What Will Happen In 'Let Her Go'? [VIDEO]
“The Vampire Diaries” Season 6 will take a depressing turn in episode 15, titled “Let Her Go.” After the death of Sheriff Liz Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre), Caroline (Candice Accola) will be planning her mother’s funeral. It seems Kai (Chris Wood) might take a break from wreaking havoc to let the group grieve, or he might be changing for good.
Elena (Nina Dobrev) will be watching Caroline as she grieves. It doesn’t appear Caroline will handle her mother’s death very well. Elena will notice “a strange change in her behavior,” the synopsis teases. Let’s hope it’s not as drastic as Elena’s reaction to Damon’s (Ian Somerhalder) death.
It seems Elena won’t be the one to help her friend. Damon will give Caroline some advice, but it’ll bring up some painful flashbacks. Helping Caroline “forces him to revisit painful memories involving his own mother,” according to the synopsis.
Caroline may not be the only one who is affected by the funeral. Matt (Zach Roerig) and Tyler (Michael Trevino) seem to be making big plans. They will “contemplate a major life change,” but how major? Could the boys be following Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) out of town?
Meanwhile, Alaric (Matt Davis) will be watching over Jo (Jodi Lyn O’Keefe). It seems Kai will still be experiencing serious personality changes after the merge. He “turns to Jo, desperate for help,” the synopsis teases. Alaric will be cautious when it comes to letting his girlfriend near Kai. He may be Jo’s bother, but Kai is still a murderer.
Viewers will also get to catch up with Bonnie in 1994. The last time audiences saw her, she was headed to Nova Scotia to see if she could use the magic in Qetsiyah’s blood. As usual, the hints in the synopsis are too vague to tell if Bonnie will actually make it home this week. “Bonnie (Kat Graham) finds herself in an unfamiliar situation,” the episode's summary states. Will there be complications using Qetsiyah’s blood? Or will she actually return to Mystic Falls?

Mysteriously missing from the synopsis are Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Enzo (Michael Malarkey). Enzo might put his plans to torture Sarah (Tristan Mays) on the back burner while Stefan is distracted by the funeral.
