‘Vampire Diaries’ Season 7 Spoilers: Episode 21 Synopsis Released; What Will Happen In ‘Requiem For A Dream’? [VIDEO & PHOTOS]
It’s not really shocking that Damon came up with a plan that went completely wrong, but no one expected “The Vampire Diaries” to create a situation like this. When Rayna gave Bonnie the life she had left last week, she also transferred her curse. Bonnie is now going to be compelled to kill vampires all over the world. In Season 7, episode 21, her friends will try to save her from her new fate.
Bonnie’s (Kat Graham) position “forces everyone to band together to help her pull through,” the synopsis for the CW drama reveals. Bonnie’s life isn’t exactly in danger, though. It’s everyone else that’s in trouble. The trailer shows that Bonnie is going to attack all of her friends. It looks like she’ll have trouble fighting her new instincts.

Bonnie’s BFF Caroline (Candice King) will be one of her first targets in the episode, titled “Requiem for a Dream.” It sounds like Stefan (Paul Wesley) will try to rescue the blonde. “When a new threat leaves Caroline’s life in jeopardy, Stefan makes a rash decision that ultimately forces them to face the fallout from their relationship,” the synopsis teases. The two haven’t spoken since Stefan left Mystic Falls three years ago. Even though Caroline ignored him when he showed up on her doorstep, she probably has plenty to say to the younger Salvatore brother.
It isn’t just Caroline that’s going to be affected by Bonnie’s new powers. Enzo (Michael Malarkey) is going to be heartbroken. “Enzo tries to hold it together as he painfully watches Bonnie in the fight of her life, while Matt (Zach Roerig) takes matters into his own hands to save one of his closest friends.” What can the human police officer do that all of the supernatural beings haven’t tried yet? Fans will have to tune in to find out.
Paul Wesley directed this episode of “The Vampire Diaries.” This marks the fourth time the actor has stepped behind the camera on his own show.
“The Vampire Diaries” Season 7, episode 21 airs Friday, May 6, at 8 p.m. EDT on the CW.
