Van Halen Tour Dates 2012: Official Schedule of Locations, Dates [FULL LIST]

When it was announced that frontman David Lee Roth, guitarist Eddie Van Halen, drummer Alex Van Halen and bassist Wolfgang Van Halen would reunite for a 2012 tour, classic rock aficionados went wild.

Now, the tour dates have finally been released by Pollstar. Here is the complete list of tour dates for the first leg of Van Halen's 2012 shows. Tickets go on sale Jan. 10 on TicketMaster. The pre-sale begins at 10 a.m.

Van Halen's new CD, A Different Kind of Truth, will be released on Feb. 7.

Van Halen performed their first show since 2007 on the stage of Cafe Wha? in New York City's Greenwich Village Thursday night. The crowd gathered outside waiting to get in and hear some of the world's greatest rock stars perform in the 250-set venue. The line snaked around the block.

Once inside, fans tweeted photos and info. One user mentioned a setlist: You Really Got Me, Runnin' with the Devil, Somebody Get Me a Doctor, a new song, Dance the Night Away, and Panama.

Earlier in the night, while signing autographs for fans, David Lee Roth told the crowd that Van Halen will play Madison Square Garden Feb. 28 and March 1. While performing, Roth was his usual cool self. The last time I stood on a stage this low we had to have the car back by midnight, man, he said told the crowd.

Van Halen had not played in public prior to Thursday since their 2007 reunion tour with Roth. Prior to that, Roth had not performed with the band since 1996. Roth left the band in 1985 and was replaced by Sammy Hagar and Gary Cherone as lead singer.
