Ariana Madix has shut down "Vanderpump Rules" fans' unfounded theories that she and her boyfriend Tom Sandoval are both secretly gay.
While speaking to Page Six at the premiere of "Vanderpump Rules" Season 10 Tuesday, Madix made it clear that they aren't hiding anything about their relationship.
"I think people see my relationship with Tom ... as nontraditional in a lot of ways, and they think there's got to be more to it, you know? [Like] I'm in the closet or Tom's in the closet," she said.
The 37-year-old reality star added that she and her boyfriend, 39, are "open about" the different aspects of their love life on the show so "there's really no other layers" to divulge.
Madix addressed the speculation while discussing Scheana Shay's comment in the "Vanderpump Rules" Season 10 trailer that Katie Maloney had told her Madix and Sandoval are in an "open relationship."
Madix has since denied the claim, tweeting last month: "We don't have an open relationship. I'm really not that cool. [I] thought that was obvious. #pumprules."
Madix's tweet received several responses, with many showing support for her and Sandoval at the time.
"You were born f--king cool," "We Should Talk" host Gibson Johns commented. Another added, "You're cool and intelligent."
"[It] would be astronomically off-brand for two Cancers to be in an open relationship tbh!" a third Twitter user wrote.
"I'm sorry your friends can't stop picking at your relationship. The trailer was really sad, you all deserve better," another fan opined.
Madix has been open about being bisexual. In a previous episode in "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen" in 2020, she clapped back at co-star Jax Taylor, who implied that she's a lesbian and allegedly didn't want to get married or have kids.
"I thought it was really gross," Madix told host Andy Cohen after he played back Taylor's remarks on the talk show. "I also thought it didn't make any sense on any level. I mean, there are lesbians who have children, there are lesbians who don't. There are women who have children who are married, and there are women who are married who don't. None of it made any sense."
She continued, "Also, I've been very open and honest about the fact that I'm bisexual, and I don't think that's an issue. It's certainly not an issue in my relationship, so, I think he should just chill out."
Madix and Sandoval's romance started in 2014 after his tumultuous relationship with "Pump Rules" alum Kristen Doute ended. However, the latter accused them of hooking up while she was still with Sandoval, which the now-couple vehemently denied, according to Page Six.
Doute also tried to break them up, claiming that she caught Sandoval cheating on Madix with a "Miami girl." She ambushed Sandoval during his bartending shift at SUR to force him to admit the alleged cheating. However, he denied ever meeting the girl and has continued denying Doute's allegation for years.
"Vanderpump Rules" Season 10 premieres Wednesday at 9 p.m. EST on Bravo.
