Vanessa Bryant revealed that she got tattoos in honor of her late husband, Kobe Bryant, and daughter, Gianna.
On Wednesday (June 10), Bryant took to Instagram and shared videos of herself getting new ink back in February after Kobe and Gianna’s tragic helicopter crash.
“Shoutout to @nikkohurtado for coming over and helping me get my Gigi's sweet message transferred on me #throwbacktoFebruary,” Bryant wrote in the caption of the post showing the text tattoo wrapped around her wrist.
She also shared a video of Hurtado working on another tattoo on her neck. She explained that the words she got permanently inked onto her skin were Kobe’s message for her.
“I wanted my boo boo's @kobebryant sweet message transferred on me. @nikkohurtado came through for me. Thank you! #inked,” Vanessa wrote.
Hurtado shared both videos on his account, and his followers were convinced that he was the perfect man for the job.
“No ones better to do the job,” one commented on Bryant’s video for Gianna.
“You made her smile,” another follower wrote.
“She’s amazing, nothing but respect. So happy she chose you,” Allie Mac Kay commented.
“The right guy for Miss Mamba,” another netizen commented on the second video.
“Had to be you the best tattoo artist fro the high desert,” another commented, along with the clapping hands emoji.
Meanwhile, Bryant also paid tribute to her daughter, Gianna, on Friday on what would have been her middle school graduation day.
“Congratulations on your 8th grade graduation Gigi. I love you forever and always. I'm so proud of you. [heart emoji], Mommy #classof2020,” Bryant wrote, per Entertainment Tonight.
Last month, Bryant didn’t forget to greet her late daughter on her birthday. She shared a smiling photo of Gianna at Disneyland. Gianna would have celebrated her 14th birthday on May 1.
“Mommy loves you more than I can ever show you,” Bryant wrote on the caption. “You are part of MY SOUL forever. I miss you so much everyday. I wish I could wake up and have you here with me. I miss your smile, your hugs and your giggles. I miss EVERYTHING about YOU, Gigi. I LOVE YOU so much!!!!!!!”
