Vanessa Hudgens Is Posting 'Thirst-Trap' Photos Following Breakup With Austin Butler

Vanessa Hudgens doesn’t seem to be too heartbroken over her recent breakup with fellow actor Austin Butler, considering her latest Instagram posts.

When news of Butler and Hudgen’s breakup first broke three weeks ago, fans were devastated. Their nearly nine-year relationship was something of a monumental occurrence for a Hollywood romance.

Neither Hudgens nor Butler have publicly commented on their breakup, but a source close to the couple told Hollywood Life that their busy schedules made it difficult for them to ever spend time together.

“They had to spend too much time apart the last few months, that’s what did it,” the source said.

It seems that Hudgens has her own way of dealing with the breakup. For the past couple weeks, she has been posting throwback Instagram photos of herself with the hashtag: “#thirstythursday,” according to People.

The posts began on Jan. 30 with a black and white image of Hudgens peering over the edge of a pool, which she captioned, “ Oh... it’s Thursday... anyone knows what the means?????” shortly followed by the second post of her in the same pool, but standing.

She said in her Instagram caption at the time, she is “not sure how long this will last,” referencing the lack of “thirst-trap” photos that the actress has under her belt.

However, she seems to have more than a couple up her sleeve, posting again this Thursday with three consecutive images from her 2017 Details Magazine photo-shoot.

The last image, featuring Hudgens sitting in a chair, staring sultrily into the camera was captioned: “To conclude our #thirstythursday here’s the last pic I had from that shoot. I feel like it’s time for some wholesome stuff after today. High school musical throwbacks tomorrow? Lol.”

And as she promised, she did deliver. On Friday her Instagram featured a smiling 16-year-old Vanessa Hudgens on the set of the first “High School Musical.”
