Vanessa Paradis made her first public appearance since her rumored spilt from Johnny Depp on Monday, stepping onto the red carpet in Paris for the premiere of her new film, Cafe De Flore.
Her solo appearance at the event fueled rumors that the 39-year old actress has spilt from America's favorite actor. But Paradis did not confirm the rumors.
You know, when I eat three peas, I'm pregnant. When I visit a city, I'm buying a house. In the winter I separate, in the summer I marry. It's been fifteen years since I've been getting married every year. In addition I have to answer all these rumors! she told the French radio station Europe 1.
Reporters on the red carpet of the event were instructed not to ask personal questions by PR reps, according to the Daily Mail. In her interview with Europe 1, Paradis did not mention Depp by name but talked about marriage, saying she did not believe in it or in soul mates. If you lose your soulmate everything is done for you, she said adding, 'The idea of a soulmate is beautiful and very romantic to talk about it in a movie or a song, but in reality, I find it scary.'
Although Paradis was vague and didn't confirm the rumors, she didn't deny them either, which had led to further speculation by fans. Depp has also been keeping a low profile in Los Angeles, according to People Magazine. The 48-year-old actor, who has been in a relationship with Paradis for 14-years, is apparently taking care of their two children, Lily-Rose, 12, and Jack, nine, according to the Daily Mail.
Paradis explained that the story of Café De Flore was about love, its joys, pains and its drama-to love to lose. She told the radio station that the story upset her, making her go upside down, in the depths of herself.
Paradis was also spotted solo last week, browsing through an art gallery in Paris, according to People Magazine.
The couple's reps have not yet issued a statement about the rumors.
