Venetian Resorts Releases Operating Protocols: Here’s What Will Be Different At Its Hotels And Casinos
The Venetian Resorts has announced the measures it is taking to operate under during the coronavirus pandemic by introducing its Clean Commitment policy. The policy will be rolled out across The Venetian, The Palazzo, and Venezia hotel and casinos in Las Vegas.
Safety protocols at the Venetian Resorts will include the use of thermal screeners at every entry point to allow for “discreet and non-invasive temperature checks” on all employees and guests. Anyone that has a temperature over 100.4 will be subject to secondary screening and may require medical assessment and care.
The Venetian Resorts encourages guests to wear face masks and gloves but has prohibited masks that cover the entire face. In each hotel room, guests will receive hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, gloves, and face mask, and about 25 EMTs will be available 24 hours a day for assistance.
The Venetian Resorts will also require social distancing, requiring guests and employees to stand at least six feet apart in queues, elevators, or other parts of the hotel and casino. The company has rearranged its restaurant tables, slot machines, and other items around its property to comply with social distancing requirements.
In some areas, plastic barriers have been installed, and social distancing markers have been placed across the properties to remember the guidelines. Only four people will be allowed in an elevator at a time, and sanitation will occur frequently.
At The Venetian Resorts gondolas, passengers will be capped at four riders, and the pilot of the gondola will have a face mask on. Reduced seating has also been made in restaurants and the pool areas, and hundreds of sanitizer stations will be placed throughout the hotel and casino properties.
Inside the casino area of the properties, sanitizing and cleaning will occur “around the clock” with chips disinfected every two hours and a limit of three chairs per table.
