Doctor Who, 12 a.m.-9 p.m., BBC America. The marathon includes Who episodes and Best of installments on the Doctor's companions, monster foes and Christmas specials.

Harper's Island, 6 a.m.-7 p.m., Chiller. The entire 13-episode run of this 2009 CBS mystery series unspools. Trivia: cast members weren't told their characters were being killed off until the day they got the script for their demise episode.

Oddities, 6 a.m. Saturday-6 a.m. Sunday, Science Channel. Pickled hearts, mummified cats and monkey skulls are among the more normal goods bought and sold at Obscura Antiques & Oddities, the East Village NYC shop that is the setting for this series.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey, 6 a.m.-4 a.m. Sunday, Bravo. A chance to remember why you can't stand most of the cast members and why most of them can't stand each other now.

Jaws, 9 a.m.-4 a.m. Sunday, Spike. Curiously, Spike is airing the Jaws flicks out of order, beginning with Jaws: The Revenge, followed by Jaws 2 then Jaws 3 and the original movie at 7:06 p.m.

Mob Wives, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., VH1. Catch up with season one, because the gangster divas kick off season two on New Year's Day.

Roseanne, 10:30 a.m.-6 p.m., Oxygen. Still one of the best TV families, and the most underappreciated sitcoms, ever.

Planet Earth, noon-3 a.m. Sunday, Animal Planet. We never tire of watching this most amazing of nature documentaries.

Shark Marathon, noon-3 a.m. Sunday, Nat Geo Wild. If you can have Christmas in July, why not shark week, or rather day, in December?

Strangers With Candy, noon-4 p.m., Logo. The best sitcom ever about a 46-year-old high school freshman (Amy Sedaris) and the secretly gay history teacher/high school newspaper advisor (Stephen Colbert).

It's a Wonderful Lifetime, noon-4 a.m., Lifetime. A collection of holiday-themed made-for-TV chick flicks, including Holiday Baggage, Undercover Christmas and A Diva's Christmas Carol (which co-stars, randomly, Duran Duran bassist John Taylor).

Beavis and Butt-head, 4-9 p.m., MTV2. Uh, huh huh huh, you said ho.

Christmas Lights Marathon, 4-7 p.m., TLC. Includes Invasion of the Christmas Lights, Invasion of the Christmas Lights 2 and Crazy Christmas Lights.

The Devil You Know, 4 p.m.-6 a.m. Sunday, ID. It's not exactly in the spirit of the season, but this series -- about secret criminals and how their crimes affect their family and friends -- is addictive viewing.

Swamp People, 4 p.m.-4 a.m., History. Alligators and Cajuns are this year's Housewives.

Lockup, 6 p.m.-7 a.m. Sunday, MSNBC. The marathon includes a new episode of Lockup: Wabash - Extended Stay at 10 p.m.

24 Hours of 'A Christmas Story,' 8 p.m. Saturday-8 p.m. Sunday, TBS. The annual event airs for the 15th time.

Best Holiday TV Moments, 8-10 p.m., TV Guide. Includes the specials 25 Most Heartwarming Holiday TV Moments and 25 Most Hilarious Holiday TV Moments.

SUNDAY

Doctor Who, 4 a.m.-12:40 a.m., BBC America. A day of Who gems leads into the premiere of this year's annual Christmas special -- The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe -- at 9 p.m.

A Nick Jr. Christmas, 5:30 a.m.-1 a.m. Monday, Nick Jr. Includes holiday-themed episodes of Dora the Explorer, Olivia, Blue's Clues, Bubble Guppies and The Backyardigans, among others.

A Boomerang Christmas, 6 a.m.-midnight, Boomerang. Includes holiday-themed episodes of Johnny Bravo, Powerpuff Girls, Scooby-Doo, The Smurfs and Yogi the Bear, among others.

Christmas Music Videos, 6-11 a.m., VH1 Classic. Twisted Sister, Regis Philbin, Hall and Oates, Mariah Carey, Dokken, TLC and Enya are among the musicians whose holiday music vids will be featured in this eclectic collection.

Freaks and Geeks, 6 a.m.-noon, IFC. If only Netflix could jump in and reunite this cast for new episodes, as they're doing with Arrested Development.

House, 6 a.m.-6 a.m. Monday, Cloo. Just the thing for the hypochondriac at your holiday celebration (and every holiday celebration has one … at least one).

Secrets of World War II, 6 a.m.-3 a.m. Monday, Military Channel. Perfect for the military/war buff at your holiday celebration (and every holiday celebration has one … at least one).

A TV Land Christmas, 6 a.m.-1 a.m. Monday, TV Land. Includes holiday-themed episodes of Roseanne, Bewitched, Sanford & Son, The Jeffersons, Three's Company, The Andy Griffith Show, The King of Queens and Everybody Loves Raymond.

Chopped, 7 a.m.-1 p.m., Food Network. Random episodes, not that there's a single thing wrong with that.

Animated Movie Marathon, 7 a.m.-midnight, FX. Includes Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, Alvin and the Chipmunks and Kung Fu Panda.

Futurama, 8:10-9:43 a.m., Comedy Central. Includes A Tale of Two Santas, Xmas Story and The Futurama Holiday Spectacular.

Family Feud, 9 a.m.-6 p.m., GSN. Now this seems like appropriate holiday viewing.

Firefly, 9 a.m.-6 a.m. Monday, Science Channel. Another cast/series deserving of a reunion, Netflix.

Indiana Jones Marathon, 9:25 a.m.-8 p.m., USA. All four Indy flicks, including the humbug of the bunch, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

The Oprah Winfrey Show, 10 a.m.-8 p.m., OWN. Missing The Big O? Yeah, she's missing ratings like the ones she used to get for these, episodes of her syndicated talk show.

Mythbusters, 11 a.m.-3 a.m. Monday, Discovery. Includes the Mentos and soda contraption from the 2006 holiday episode.

A Disney Christmas, 12:30 p.m.-midnight, Disney Channel. Includes holiday-themed episodes of Kick Buttowski, Phineas and Ferb and So Random! plus Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Malcolm in the Middle, noon-12:30 p.m., IFC. Worth watching because it was a funny, clever show, and because it still amazes that Bryan Cranston could be this gifted a comedic actor and then so incredible as drug-making high school teacher Walt on Breaking Bad.

The Nutcracker, 12:30-10:30 p.m., Ovation. Includes The Nutcracker: Berlin State Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet: The Nutcracker, Mariinsky Theatre's Nutcracker and Nutcracker: The Story of Clara.

The O.C., 3-7 p.m., SoapNet. Chronicling Chrismukkah, which, along with Festivus, remains one of the greatest TV holidays.

Christmas by Leo McCarey, 8 p.m.-6:30 a.m., TCM. Six of the director's films, including Going My Way and the best Marx Brothers movie, Duck Soup, with the oft-copied mirror scene.

Elf, 8-11 p.m., USA. Back-to-back airings of Will Ferrell's already classic Christmas movie.

MONDAY

Inside the Actors Studio, 6 a.m.-2 p.m., Bravo. James Franco, Betty White, Bradley Cooper and the cast of Modern Family are among the celebs who sit on the hot seat with James Lipton.

Wife Swap, 8 a.m.-10 p.m., Lifetime. It's a good primer for the upcoming season of Celebrity Wife Swap on ABC (Jan. 3) with Gary Busey, Ted Haggard, Flava Flav and Dee Snider.

Band of Brothers, 9 a.m.-1:12 a.m. Tuesday, Spike TV. Homeland star Damian Lewis, Dexter baddie Colin Hanks, Shame star Michael Fassbender, new Justified cast member Neal McDonough, Southland star Michael Cudlitz and Blue Bloods cop/pop star Donnie Walhberg are but a fraction of the great cast in this 2001 Steven Spielberg/Tom Hanks-produced WWII miniseries.

I (Almost) Got Away With It, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Discovery. Spoiler alert: the criminals in this show get caught. As you might have surmised from the title …

The Rachel Zoe Project, 2-6 p.m., Bravo. Feeling guilty about your own holiday expenditures? Nothing like a few hours with one of the biggest shopaholics on the planet to cure that.

Awkward, 5-11 p.m., MTV. The network re-airs the entire debut season of one of the best high school dramedies since Freaks and Geeks.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, 6 p.m.-4 a.m. Tuesday, Bravo. There's no new episode tonight, but the network replays season two episodes that remind us just how sad and creepy the portrayal of the Armstrong marriage has been. Season's greetings!
