Vicki Gunvalson Fought With ‘Real Housewives’ Co-Stars Over COVID-19 Vaccine: Report
KEY POINTS
- Vicki Gunvalson reportedly fought with her “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” co-stars over the COVID-19 vaccine
- The “RHOC” alum allegedly has a strong aversion to the vaccine, and she made it known to her castmates
- Gunvalson allegedly kept telling her co-stars that everyone who got the vaccine is going to die
Vicki Gunvalson is so strongly opposed to getting vaccinated for COVID-19 that she had a dispute with her “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” Season 2 co-stars who were for it, a report has claimed.
Sources exclusively disclosed to Page Six Saturday that the 59-year-old reality star’s staunch aversion to the COVID-19 vaccine caused some serious drama on the set of the Peacock spinoff.
The insiders claimed Gunvalson tried to convince her castmates that the vaccines would be the death of those who got the shots. And this did not sit well with her co-stars, especially Dorinda Medley, 56, who is a vocal advocate of the COVID-19 vaccination program.
“She wouldn’t stop fighting about the shot and really got into it with Dorinda. Vicki told Dorinda that everyone who got the vaccine is going to die,” one insider told the outlet. “She just kept saying, ‘Everyone who got the vaccine is going to die!’”
The source noted that the “Real Housewives of Orange County” alum’s aversion to the vaccine has “nothing to do with religious reasons.”
FDA-approved COVID-19 vaccines are safe and known to maximize protection from emerging variants, including Delta, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Another source told Page Six that the verbal exchange between Gunvalson and Medley “certainly stood out the most” among all the fracas that took place while the show was being filmed, so fans should expect it to be one of the main storylines.
“It will likely be a big storyline. The show is going to be incredible. They captured great stuff,” the source said of the show, which is slated to debut on NBC’s streaming service in 2022.
The news comes just a day after Gunvalson seemingly ignored New York City’s vaccine mandate as she and her former “RHOC” co-star Tamra Judge stepped out to have a good time in an indoor dining establishment in the Big Apple.
In a post Judge shared on her Instagram, the Bravo stars were seen enjoying some beer while inside a restaurant. The 54-year-old television personality captioned the post, “Cheers [clinking beer mugs emoji] New York.”
The Big Apple implemented a rule for indoor dining establishments to require proof of vaccination from their customers starting mid-September. However, not all restaurants in the city are following the mandate, according to New York Post.
Meanwhile, Gunvalson previously told Daily Mail that she did not get the vaccine due to underlying issues. “I’ve got blood clots. I have a health exemption,” she explained to the outlet.
Apart from Gunvalson and Medley, the second season of “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” also stars Judge, Phaedra Parks, Eva Marcille, Brandi Glanville, Jill Zarin and Taylor Armstrong.
