Vicki Gunvalson Reveals 'RHOC' Salary And Teases New Reality Show With Tamra Judge
After over a decade on "The Real Housewives of Orange County," Vicki Gunvalson is starting a new chapter.
In the first episode of her new podcast, "Whoop It Up with Vicki," the 57-year-old shared some inside information about her experience with the series that catapulted the "Housewives" franchise. One major bombshell was how much she was making for appearing on the show.
"When I finished the 14th season I was in a seven-figure income," she said. A salary which paled in comparison to Season 1, when she was unpaid, and her Season 2 salary of just $35,000.
Vicki no longer has that income though as she was not asked back as part of the Season 15 cast, something that could have rocked her financially if she hadn't played it smart.

"When the phone call comes to you and says, 'You are no longer going to be on,' you better have a backup plan on your finances that you can still sustain the life you created for the last 14, 15 years," the reality star added. "The good news is I never bought a bigger house. I never bought any bigger cars. I lived within my means. I paid my taxes, banked as much as I could."
As a cast member since Season 1 of "RHOC," Vicki shared that she felt almost blindsided by the decision to not have her back for the upcoming season.
"I was giving it my all and chances that I would be back full-time, I felt, [were] 100 percent,” she recalled. "I’m like, 'There’s no way they can film this show without me.' I felt strong that I am a viable member of this cast."
"I did everything right. I was their best employee. I showed up on time. I did my work. I was very professional all the time," Vicki continued.
All of that hard work, unfortunately, did not pay off in the end but now she's working on a show with fellow "RHOC" alum Tamra Judge that will showcase her "real life."

"It’s going to be an incredible show," the mother of two told People. "Tamra and I, we’re good together. We have great chemistry and we’re having fun. We’ve got a really special journey happening. It’s something that will really inspire people. I can’t say much more, but I know it’s going to be a show people love."
