VIDEO Barcelona 4 - 0 Santos: Highlights from the FIFA Club World Cup
Barcelona took their dominance to a global scale on Sunday as the defending La Liga and Champions League title holders took home yet another title when they defeated Brazilian powerhouse Santos, 4-0, in the FIFA Club World Cup in Yokohama, Japan.
The match featured one of the most promising forwards in the world, as Neymar took his talents to the world stage. The young Brazilian was over-shadowed by Argentine star Lionel Messi, who scored the first and last goal of the match.
Xavi and Cesc Fabregas both had first-half goals to lead the Catalans.
Barcelona took 14 shots, with seven on goal, while Santos took six shots, with three on goal.
Santos were overwhelmed by a Barcelona squad that probably could have won by a much wider margin. Earlier this month, Barcelona defeated rival and La Liga leader Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu, 3-1.
It's impossible to stop Barcelona, but we are the second-best team in the world and for us that is a great reward, Neymar said.
