VIDEO Heat - Spurs Game 7 Highlights 2013 NBA Finals: LeBron James, Miami Repeat, Beat Spurs Late

Miami’s LeBron James earned his revenge over the San Antonio Spurs. James scored nine of his 37 points in the fourth quarter, and Spurs forward Tim Duncan missed a layup and put back with 47 seconds remaining that would have tied the game, but the Heat defended their championship with a 95-88 victory in Game Seven of the NBA Finals.

The Heat clinched back-to-back championships, joining the short list of franchises to repeat, and James earned his second straight Finals MVP trophy.

James had said prior to the start of these Finals that he hoped to avenge his loss to San Antonio in the 2007 series when he starred with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Along with his 37 points, he grabbed 12 rebounds and went 5-for-10 from three-point range.

Miami guard Dwyane Wade battled through his stiffness in his injured right knee for 23 points and 10 rebounds, giving James the help he needed down the stretch.

Shane Battier didn't miss a three-pointer until nine minutes remained in the fourth quarter and finished with 18 points, going 6-for-8 from three-point range. Miami would out score the Spurs 23-17 in the final quarter.

Duncan led his club with 24 points and 12 rebounds, with four steals, shooting 8-for-18 from the field.

San Antonio’s future looks bright, with forward Kawhi Leonard totaling 19 points and 16 rebounds, including a huge three with two minutes left that cut Miami’s lead to 90-88.

Spurs point guard Tony Parker was visibly exhausted late, and struggled with his shot, going 3-for-12 from the field for 10 points and four assists in 37 minutes.

Manu Ginobili bounced back from his performance in Game Six with 18 points and five assists, but his two turnovers on consecutive possessions cost San Antonio a chance to cut into Miami’s lead midway through the fourth.
