Part of a flurry of Arsenal goals, Joel Campbell slotted a beautiful volley strike in the 40th minute to put the Gunners up 2-0 over Benfica in friendly action Saturday at Emirates.

With Arsenal already up 1-0, defender Hector Bellerin worked the sideline and maintained possession deep in Benfica territory before finding Campbell just inside the box for the cross. The 22-year-old, fresh off his stellar showing at the World Cup with Costa Rica, provided the sidewinding touch and bounced the ball off the pitch and into the net.

Acquired by the Gunners in 2011, Campbell has spent the better part of the last three years on loan at Lorient, Real Betis and Olympiacos, totaling 13 goals during his travels.

Following the World Cup and his display Saturday, Campbell may have finally found a spot with Arsenal. Manager Arsene Wenger also insisted in the lead up to the match that Campbell is part of his plans for the future, according to Daily Mirror.
