Actor Kaley Cuoco, best known for starring in the CBS sitcom "The Big Bang Theory,” was nominated Wednesday for her first Golden Globes award. Her reaction to the news generated a buzz on social media.

Sitting on her bed and watching the announcement from a cellphone, the video shows Cuoco surprised and overcome with emotion when she hears her name called for “Best Television Actress in a Movie or Comedy” for her role in HBO Max’s “The Flight Attendant.”

“Thank you @goldenglobes #hfpa I will never ever forget this moment and I can’t stop crying ... so proud of my entire team @flightattendantonmax ✈️ !!!!! YES NORMAN!_” Cuoco captioned her Instagram post.

The 35-year-old plays Cassie Bowden, a flight attendant who is an alcoholic. The show starts off with her waking up in a hotel room in Bangkok next to a blood-covered dead body -- a passenger on her most recent flight. The first season follows her as she gets on a flight back to New York after she cleans up the crime scene and with the FBI inquiring about her.

In December, "The Flight Attendant" was renewed for a second season.

Cuoco has long been a television fixture, starring in shows like "8 Simple Rules," "Young Sheldon," "My So-Called Life" and "Charmed."

Other nominees in this same category include Lily Collins (“Emily in Paris”), Ellie Fanning (“The Great”), Jane Levy (“Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist”) and Catherine O’Hara (“Schitt’s Creek”).

The Golden Globes will air on Feb. 28 on NBC at 8:00 p.m. ET.
