VIDEO Metta World Peace Elbows James Harden, Likely to be Suspended
Metta World Peace may have played last game for the Lakers this season.
The Los Angeles forward was ejected from Sunday's game against Oklahoma City after elbowing James Harden in the head. World Peace was hit with a flagrant foul 2 with 1:39 left in the second quarter. He delivered a blow to Harden on his way down the court following a dunk.
World Peace is facing a suspension, but the question still remains how long it will be. According to those who cover the NBA, the suspension could be anywhere from just a few games to double digits.
I've heard everything from 2-3 games to ten-plus. Not much consistency, tweeted Chris Mannix, NBA writer for Sports Illustrated.
World Peace may be hit with a very long suspension because of his past. He was suspended for 86 games in 2004 after the infamous Malice at the Palace.
Harden did not return to the game after the elbow. He was diagnosed with a concussion, and it's unknown if he'll play in the Thunder's final two games.
