VIDEO: NFL Player Sucker Punched At South Dakota Restaurant, Reports He's 'Fine' After Hospital Visit
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert is reportedly in “fine” condition after being sucker-punched at a South Dakota restaurant Friday night.
The 25-year-old was taken to the hospital following the attack, which left him briefly unconscious. In a video of the incident, Goedert can be seen holding a man by the shirt before another man lunges at him with a right punch. The video shows people at the restaurant attending to Goedert as he lies motionless on his back.
The man who hit Goedert was arrested Saturday. The fight took place at Zoo Bar in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
The video appears to show more fighting within the restaurant. Police were called to the scene following reports of “people busting glasses and have busted heads.”
Zoo Bar employees declined ESPN’s request for comment. It is still unknown what caused the incident.
Goedert, who will be entering his third season with the Eagles, grew up in South Dakota and attended South Dakota State University. He is listed at 6-foot-5 and 255 pounds.
