Kate Middleton and Prince William's youngest child, Prince Louis, showed off his cheeky side once more during the Platinum Jubilee Pageant Sunday.
As the Cambridge family watched the parade, the 4-year-old was seen putting his hand over his mom Kate Middleton's mouth in a video that has since gone viral on social media.
The clip also showed Prince Louis making a series of faces, sticking out his tongue and putting his thumb to his nose while wiggling his remaining fingers as the Duchess of Cambridge, 40, tries to stop him.
At one point, the little royal stood on his chair and appeared to throw a cushion, Page Six reported.
The video received mixed reactions from fans and users across several social media platforms, with some questioning Duchess Kate's parenting skills.
"This is what happens when nannies raise your kids!" one commented on YouTube, while another wrote: "I’m sorry to see this for Louis’ sake. I hope he is OK. However, this is quite telling. Kate seems to be failing in all departments."
"No way would my mother or father let me do that to them in the privacy of our home or in public," one person wrote on Twitter, reacting to the clip.
Others argued that Prince Louis was acting like any other 4-year-old child would while attending a lengthy public event.
"As a parent of a 4-year-old not in line to the throne, Prince Louis, we see you and we understand you," Jen Psaki playfully tweeted.
"Anyone picking on Prince Louis has had no experience with 4-year-olds. Period," another Twitter user wrote.
One Reddit user pointed out: "You know what I see watching this? I see a kid that isn't afraid of getting a beating when he gets home, and I think it's wonderful. No child should live in fear of their parent's reactions behind closed doors."
Some social media users came to Middleton's defense amid the criticism of how she handled Prince Louis' antics.
"She’s teasing him. To me, it looks playful. Look how she smiles and laughs. He’s being a grump, and his mother is teasing him. Very normal," one person tweeted.
"No power on Earth can stop a kid being a kid. Not even a mother. But a lot can be done to stop the sociopaths that attack the mother. I love that photo that shows the Queen smiling, thinking him pulling faces was funny," another wrote.
"Kate, I stand in solidarity with you," columnist Kerri Kerri Sackville of the Sydney Morning Herald wrote, adding, "You know who doesn’t judge others for their parenting? Those of us who know how hard it is."
Middleton and Prince Louis had plenty of sweet moments during the Platinum Jubilee Pageant as well, with photos showing the little royal cuddling with his mom and giving her a kiss on the cheek.
Prince Louis also sat on the laps of his dad Prince William and then his grandfather Prince Charles during the parade.
Prince Louis later joined his parents, siblings, Prince Charles, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and Queen Elizabeth on the Buckingham Palace balcony at the conclusion of the pageant, which closed out the four-day celebrations for the monarch's 70-year reign.
