A Chicago Bears fan was caught on camera throwing a Green Bay Packers supporter down the stands of Illinois' Soldier Field during the two National Football League (NFL) teams' Dec. 4 match, according to reports.
Footage of the incident, recently uploaded on Twitter, was shared by the New York Post Wednesday.
It showed the standoff between a man wearing a Bears hat and another man dressed in a Green Bay sweatshirt.
The former pinned the latter in a headlock before throwing him down the concrete steps of the stadium, the video showed.
The man in the Green Bay sweatshirt, who was also wearing a Bears scarf, later went back up the stands to finish the exchange.
What caused the confrontation between the two was unclear.
It was also unclear if the incident resulted in anyone becoming injured or charged.
The Green Bay Packers beat the Chicago Bears 28-19 that game for the franchise's 787th win, which helped the Wisconsin team surpass their Illinois opponents for the NFL's all-time win mark.
The Packers and the Bears, the 2nd and 3rd oldest teams in the NFL, respectively, have been locked in a rivalry since 1921.
They are expected to face off again next year.
In a similar story, eight players were ejected from a women's basketball match earlier this month between the Texas Christian University (TCU) Horned Frogs and George Washington University (GWU) Colonials after a brawl erupted on the court.
The fight broke out in the second quarter of a National Collegiate Athletic Association game held at Fort Worth, Texas Schollmaier Arena on Dec. 5.
GWU's guard, Essence Brown, was called for a foul after she pulled the hair of TCU's forward, Bella Cravens, during a steal attempt.
Cravens pointed to her hair following the move, and the two exchanged punches, footage of the encounter showed.
The girls' teammates and game officials attempted to break up the brawl.
Cravens and two of her TCU teammates, Lucy Ibeh and Roxane Makolo, were ejected from the match.
GWU's Brown, Caia Loving, Jayla Thornton, Nya Lok and Nya Robertson were ejected as well.
TCU, which led GWU 27-24 at the time the fight broke out, ended up winning the game 70-58.
The Atlantic 10 Conference suspended four GWU players following the brawl.
