Video Of ?The World?s First Live Lip-Dub Proposal? Goes Viral, Isaac Lamb Earns Props From Bruno Mars
How could she possibly say no?
In what turned out to be a viral sensation on the Internet viewed by over 11 million people in just one week, a YouTube video entitled Isaac's Live Lip-Dub Proposal has warmed the hearts of many.
Set to the song Marry You by Bruno Mars, a Portland man named Isaac Lamb enlisted the help of 60 friends to propose to his girlfriend Amy Frankel on Wednesday in an elaborate choreographed dance and lip-syncing routine dubbed as The World's First Live Lip-Dub Proposal.
According to Lamb, on May 23, he instructed his girlfriend to meet at his parent's home in Portland, Ore. where his brother helped to carry out the schemed proposal. Much to her shock, Frankel sat in the hatchback of an open Honda CRV where she was instructed to wear headphones and listen to a song.
This song really tends to exemplify you and Isaac's relationship - it really does to me, the brother said to Frankel. So, here it goes.
Then, a five-minute long proposal to Marry You begins with a cast of friends , family and a marching band dancing and lip-syncing and ends with Lamb dropping down to one knee, asking Frankel to marry him.
Much to his surprise, Lamb had no idea his creative proposal would go viral online.
To be honest it's a little overwhelming. I'm really, really, really touched by how positive people's reactions have been, Lamb told The Oregonian. The love I genuinely feel for my fiancé has touched other people. I never expected this and I'm really amazed by the response. My intention was never to make a viral video.
Despite his intentions, the newly engaged couple was asked to be on the Today Show and Good Morning America, just to name a few.
Word of the video even spread to Bruno Mars himself, who congratulated the couple on their engagement.
Congrats to Isaac Lamb and the future Mrs.. I don't think I could've made a better music video for this song. Thank you, Mars wrote on Twitter.
It's crazy, Lamb continued. I thought friends and family would like it and I figured that's where it would end.
But it's only just the beginning for Isaac Lamb and Amy Frankel. Stay tuned to see if a video of their wedding will go viral.
