‘Vikings’ Season 4 Spoilers: Cast Shares Bloody Behind-The-Scenes Set Photos
Our favorite Northmen are back in action!
Recently the cast of History Channel’s “Vikings” reunited to film the second part of the series’ fourth season. The upcoming installment of the epic drama, which aired its midseason premiere in April, will return to the small screen with more bloody battles in the fall.
But fans don’t have to wait until autumn to receive a look at the new season. Luckily for audiences of the Michael Hirst-created series, the cast is posting behind-the-scenes pictures and videos of the upcoming Season 4 episodes on their social media accounts.
Several actors, like Maude Hirst, who portrays Helga, and Alex Anderson, who plays the role of Ivar, have shared their new looks for the forthcoming season.
“My hairstylist, Dee [Corcoran], is an absolute magician,” Anderson captioned an Instagram video of his new, Nordic look, which features a pulled back braid and shaved sides.
In April, International Business Times caught up with Corcoran to discuss the style of the upcoming season. The stylist, who has worked behind-the-scenes on both “Camelot” and “Tudors,” revealed that fans would be surprised by the major transformations of certain characters like Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) and King Ecbert (Linus Roache). Corcoran added that there’s also “some young blood” entering the Season 4 storyline, which has kept her and her crew busy.
In addition to posting fierce mane photos, other actors have showed off the bloodier, behind-the-scenes side of “Vikings.” Actor Jasper Pääkkönen, who portrays Halfdan the Black, shared a photo of him and Peter Franzen, who plays King Harald Finehair, covered in blood and dirt. Anderson and Marco Ilsø, who has taken on the role of Hvitserk, shared similar photos of blood drenched props and sets.
“Vikings” will return to History Channel with the second half of Season 4 in the fall.
