“Vikings” Season 5, episode 13 will see tension rising between Ivar (Alex Høgh Andersen) and Hvitserk (Marco Ilsø). A new sneak peek video has been released online showing a tense argument between the brothers. At the root of the argument is a death that was featured in the previous episode.

Each one of Ragnar’s (Travis Flimmel) sons has ambition in his heart. Hvitserk too has ambitions of his own. The death of a woman close to him in the previous episode of “Vikings” Season 5 may give him the perfect excuse to betray Ivar and chart a new course for his life.

A sneak peek video of “Vikings” Season 5, episode 13 posted on TV Guide showed an argument between Hvitserk and Ivar in the throne room. Hvitserk is sure that his brother ordered the killing, but Ivar flatly denies that he had anything to do with it.

The topic of Ivar’s ability to get a woman pregnant comes up again. This time, however, the new king of Kattegat has an announcement to make. His wife is pregnant. The announcement makes King Harald (Peter Franzén) uncomfortable.

The argument between Hvitserk and Ivar soon escalates. The king warns his brother to be careful about what he says, and Hvitserk in turn dares Ivar to kill him.

Will Hvitserk go to Wessex and join his other brothers there? The official Twitter page of “Vikings” teased that the “voices from the past” will continue to guide the next generation of heroes. The big problem that the sons of Ragnar will face in the next episode is Alfred’s (Ferdia Walsh-Peelo) request that his guests convert to Christianity.

Alfred’s “grandfather” prepared him for this day, a day when the Vikings and the Saxons join together. The young king is using his teachings and the legacy of Ragnar as tools to achieve his goals.

Meanwhile, the love story of Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) and Bishop Heahmund (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) continues. A tweet on on Twitter page of Vikings asked fans what the warrior priest whispered in Lagertha’s ears.

Heahmund will have to face the anger of the king in the next episode because of his actions in the previous episode. Although the warrior priest removed a thorn for Alfred, he may still be punished to keep up appearances.

“Vikings” Season 5, episode 13 will air on Wednesday at 9 p.m. EST on the History channel. The episode is titled “A New God.”
