After the mid-season finale of “Vikings” Season 6, the fans are eagerly waiting for the show’s return. The show is going to end with the last 10 remaining episodes and there won’t be a Season 7.
Following the pattern set by the previous seasons, the TV series is on a break before returning with the next part. There hasn’t been an official announcement about when the show will return, but according to Screen Rant the fans can expect the premiere to be by the end of the year.
In the past, the TV series has aired in November. It remains to be seen if they will stick to this schedule or if the fans will get to watch their favourite show a little early this time around.
The show started with the story of Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel), but it has now moved on to the stories about his children and the legendary warrior and king’s legacy. Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) and Ivar (Alex Høgh Andersen) have emerged as the two main rivals remaining on the show, and the fate of the king of Kattegat remains unknown after he was last seen lying on the floor after being stabbed.
The other important storyline will be about Floki (Gustaf Skarsgård). The character was a companion of Ragnar and it remains to be seen if he is still alive. Ubbe (Jordan Patrick Smith) and Torvi (Georgia Hirst) have gone in search of him in Iceland.
Some fans believe that Floki will be back one last time on the show. Skarsgård was previously spotted on the production set of the TV series, Screen Rant reported. It remains to be seen if he is alive in Iceland or if the character will return in a flashback sequence.
The other major death on the show was that of Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick). In an interview with TV Line, Winnick talked about the “surreal” experience of watching the funeral set. The ending of the show with “Vikings” Season 6 will be an emotional experiences for all the cast members.
