Vimeo officially launched its global television store this Tuesday which has a catalog of TV shows from Lionsgate. The new store is available in 150 countries worldwide and includes popular shows like “Orange is the New Black” and “Mad Men.”

When Vimeo launched its new global television store, it also announced a second partnership with Starz, the premium cable and satellite TV network. The partnership means that Starz will also be licensing its shows to Vimeo’s new store including “Ash vs Evil Dead”, “Black Sails” and “The Girlfriend Experience.”

Vimeo says that shows from Starz will be available from its TV store in the “coming weeks.” The partnership with Starz is also timely considering that Lionsgate is planning to merge with the cable television network.

“We’re truly excited to be partnering with Lionsgate and now Starz to offer their content and today’s launch marks a huge expansion for our offering of premium programming,” Vimeo’s senior VP of programming Sam Toles said on Tuesday. The online video service also confirmed that it is in talks with other Hollywood studios to bring their content to Vimeo’s store.

Vimeo’s new online store is more like iTunes than Netflix. Instead of paying for a monthly subscription to stream content, TV shows can be bought per season or by episode. For example, a season of Lionsgate’s “Mad Men” can be bought for $9.99, while each episode sells for $2.99.

Vimeo’s pricing is very competitive considering a season of “Mad Men” costs $19.99 from Amazon, as pointed out by TechCrunch. It’s also important to note that some shows cost less depending on the length of the season.

Vimeo’s TV store website allows users to watch trailers for the shows available to purchase, subscribe to email alerts for new shows and they can even see how long it will take to watch a show in its entirety. For example, “Weeds” will take one day and 23 hours to binge.
