Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson Feud Is A 'Delicate Situation,' Ludacris Says

Ludacris has shared his thoughts on "Fast and Furious" co-star Vin Diesel's feud with their former castmate Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

While the "Act a Fool" rapper, 44, is aware of the tension between Diesel and Johnson, he said he is staying out of the feud and prefers to let the "two grown men" settle it by themselves.

"All I can say is that, from what I understand, I know those are two grown men," Ludacris told Us Weekly while promoting his partnership with Moose Toys Monday. "I believe The Rock has spoken on that, and I don't want to speak for either one of them. So, I would leave it to whatever their words are and keep it that way because it's a delicate situation."

Diesel and Johnson's feud started when they clashed on the set of the eighth installment of the franchise, "The Fate of the Furious," in 2016. At the time, the former professional wrestler wrote in a since-deleted post on social media: "My female co-stars are always amazing and I love 'em. My male co-stars however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand-up men and true professionals, while others don't."

Johnson didn't mention anyone by name, but fans speculated that he was talking about Diesel, who also starred alongside him in "Fast Five," "Fast & Furious 6" and "Furious 7."

Johnson reportedly made the post as he was unimpressed by Diesel's unprofessional behavior. During their 100-day Atlanta shoot, Diesel arrived late on set. Dwayne's post allegedly resulted in a heated exchange between him and Diesel. The studio was forced to do damage control to continue the production but had a hard time getting the two back together.

Diesel seemed to have moved on from the feud by 2017, when he shared a photo of him with Johnson on Instagram and wrote, "Brotherhood... and all its complexities."

Earlier this month, the "Black Adam" star admitted that he regretted writing that post and making their feud public.

"It wasn’t my best day, sharing that," he told Vanity Fair. "I shouldn't have shared that. Because at the end of the day, that goes against my DNA. I don't share things like that. And I take care of that kind of bulls—t away from the public. They don't need to know that. That's why I say it wasn’t my best day."

Johnson didn't return for "F9," which was released earlier this year, and said he would not be appearing in the last two movies of the franchise as well.

Meanwhile, Ludacris will reprise his role as mechanic-turned-hacker Tej in "F10," though he doesn't know yet what's in store for his character. "I truly wish I could divulge information, but I don't have it," he said. "They don’t tell us stuff. It’s, like, two weeks before we start shooting. That’s how crazy it is."

"Fast and Furious 10" will hit theaters on April 7, 2023.
