Viral Video Shows Woman Getting Arrested For Jokingly Macing Friend

An online streamer in Los Angeles was caught on camera being arrested by police after she deliberately “maced” a friend in the eyes.

Right-wing podcaster Vegan Patriot pepper-sprayed her friend of 12 years, Matt, while the two were at Mill Avenue, according to Press Informant.

"Jesus Christ, what the f--k? The f--k?" Matt seemingly cried in pain, footage of the incident shared on Reddit showed.

A longer version of the video, which was taken from a livestream, revealed Vegan Patriot had apparently planned the act.

"[Matt's] gonna hate me for the night. But we don't need to tell him what happened, do we guys? We'll just tell him it was an accident," Vegan Patriot said in the self-filmed video.

The online streamer looked for Matt following the attack and attempted to provide him with milk because she claimed it would "neutralize" the effects of the pepper spray.

While it has been theorized that the fats and proteins in the liquid can act as a buffer to lessen the effects of noxious chemicals, experts do not recommend this solution.

Matt did not accept the cup of milk and repeatedly told Vegan Patriot to back off, footage showed.

"Matt, do you want me to leave?" Vegan Patriot asked, to which Matt replied, "Go away, dude. Back away."

When asked by Vegan Patriot if he was safe, Matt responded, "No, I got f-----g maced.”

Mace is a popular brand of pepper sprays, and its name has been used to informally refer to the self-defense product.

Police officers, who were reportedly called in by bystanders, later arrived at the scene and arrested Vegan Patriot.

The streamer ended up being released, according to a commenter on the Reddit post, which was titled, "What do you mean I'm being arrested for macing my friend?"

It was unclear if Vegan Patriot was charged over the incident. She never apologized for her behavior in the videos.

Past pepper spray attacks have resulted in assailants being charged with assault and battery.

Users on Reddit criticized Vegan Patriot, with many claiming she exhibited behavior associated with sociopaths.

"Jesus, that was rough. The entitlement, obliviousness and selfishness made my skin crawl. I can’t tell if she believes these delusions she’s making up on the spot or if she’s just sociopathic," one person wrote.

"Live streamers are some of the most entitled narcissistic a--holes on the planet," another user commented.
