‘The Voice’ 2018 Top 4 Finalist Results: Who Left And Who Was Saved? [Recap]
Since last week, fans of “The Voice” Season 15 have been fuming over Adam Levine’s decision to allow his contestant, Reagan Strange, to sit out due to an illness. However, on the latest episode of the NBC series, America made sure the longtime coach knew they were in charge of determining which artists got to advance in the singing competition.
On Tuesday night, the top 8 artists returned to the stage to learn which ones would move on to the top 4 and battle it out for the ultimate prize.
After singing his heart out on Monday night, Team Blake’s Kirk Jay was the first contestant to advance to the top 4 during the semifinals. The next aspiring artist to secure their spot in the finals was Team Kelly’s Chevel Shepherd.
America then voted to send Chris Kroeze to the top 4, which left Team JHud’s Kennedy Holmes, Reagan from Team Adam and Hudson’s other contestant, MaKenzie Thomas to compete for the last spot following the eliminations of Team Kelly’s Sarah Grace and Kymberli Joye.
Hudson praised MaKenzie’s rendition of “Up to the Mountain” and revealed she thought the singer had what it took to advance to the finals. Next up was Reagan, whose performance was a bit pitchy, nonetheless, Levine assured her that no matter what happened next, she would only grow from her experience on “The Voice.”
Last but certainly not least was 14-year-old Kennedy who sung, “How Do I Live.” Although her voice appeared to be a bit shaky, she managed to impress America enough to secure the last spot in the top 4.
