‘The Voice’ Season 13 Spoilers: Miley Cyrus Teases Plan For Winning Competition
Although “The Voice” Season 13 premiere is still weeks away, Miley Cyrus already has her mind set on winning the singing competition. Even though she is not new to the series, the “Malibu” singer has yet to be victorious against the other coaches, and this time around, she has a plan in place which she believes will give her the win she has been hoping for.
In a sneak peek clip shared with Us Weekly on Friday, Cyrus revealed that she has figured out a way to put herself one step closer to become a winning coach on Season 13. “I have a note written down because I believe in putting things into the universe,” she said.
“And my note to myself is, ‘I’m going to win.’ And that’s my goal this time,” she added.
Cyrus, who will be going up against Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and new judge Jennifer Hudson on the series, has specific goals she wants to achieve when it comes to stocking her team with talented aspiring artists.
“This season, I really want to snag a good country artist from Blake. I think if anyone can do it on the panel, it would be me,” she explained. “I try to remind people that I was actually born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee.”
Now that she is a bit more informed about the challenge of being a coach, Cyrus is more confident about the singing competition this time around. “I am so happy to be back on ‘The Voice,’ especially because I feel like I learned a lot last season,” she revealed.
“With experience, I can navigate the show a little bit better,” she said in the video.
Even though it is a competition and the goal is to win, the “Younger Now” singer revealed that she tends to bond with her team members on the show over their challenges.
“I don’t think I realized when I started season 11 how much you create a relationship with the artists that are on your team,” she said.
Cyrus, who wasn’t a coach during “The Voice” Season 12, believes that her return will be a unique experience with new results.
“I think I bring a lot of value as a coach because I’m willing to take the time, overtime, to work with my artists," she said. "I feel like, being back, I have some different ways that I could win the show.”
The singer will also change up the vibe of the series by making the competition a family affair. The former Disney star has tapped her father, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus to be an advisor on her team.
Cyrus’ competition has also chosen successful artists to help them in their journey to come out victorious the season. Hudson will have Kelly Rowland by her side and Shelton will have Rascal Flatts to help him with his team. Meanwhile, Levine has called on Joe Jonas to assist him.
“The Voice” Season 13 premieres Monday, Sept. 25, on NBC.
