Waitress Kicks Out Creepy Diner Who Targeted Underage Girls And Refused To Leave
A valiant waitress proved that customer isn’t always right after she kicked out a creepy diner who was staring at a group of underage girls and trying to give his cell number to them.
Sondra Albert, who works at Massapequa Diner in Long Island, told the man sitting in the restaurant that nobody wanted to serve him. He finally left after police were called to the diner, New York Post reported.
The heated encounter was captured on camera by Louis Cozzolino, who was a table away from the man seated alone at the diner at around 11 p.m. Saturday. The unidentified man was caught staring at a group of underage girls and trying to give his cell number to them. He also made “loud” anti-LGBTQ slurs and called his server a “b-----” several times, according to Cozzolino, who posted a video of the incident on TikTok.
He was “staring at and trying to solicit his phone number” to the underaged girls before doling out a homophobic and sexist rant, Cozzolino, 21, told New York Post.
The brazen diner was moved to a table far away from the girls, after which the waitress ordered him to leave because she and the other staff members “didn’t want to wait on him,” Cozzolino said.
"He was being repeatedly rude, calling her a b----," Cozzolino said, adding: "Sondra is the nicest person ever and for her to get like that."
In the video, Albert was heard asking the brash diner to leave. “Honestly, nobody wants to wait on you, we’re asking very nicely so please just leave,” Albert told the man.
“You’re not going to call me a b-----, you’re not going to sit near my boss’ wife, you’re not going to call people a lesbian — you sure as hell ain’t going to look at underage girls,” the gutsy waitress added.
“I don’t want to look at underage girls,” the diner said, to which Albert replied, “You’re a pedophile and freak and you deserve to be locked up in Bellevue. And that’s all I gotta say and I’m asking you nicely.”
Other diners gave the waitress a round of applause for standing up to the diner.
The video racked up more than 6 million views on TikTok and found its way to other social media platforms as well.
Cozzolino also uploaded a second video where the diner was seen refusing to leave, according to news.com.au.
“I’ll kick your a-- … you don’t frighten me for one minute. The way you speak about people who are lesbians and young children,” Albert said.
Cozzolino said the man was gone before Nassau PD made it to the scene.
The entire incident was unusual for longtime visitors of the Massapequa Diner. They believe the man’s actions would have been problematic for him to warrant such a reaction from the waitress, according to New York Post.
“I often go to the Massapequa Diner and I’ve never seen anybody get shouted at or thrown out,” said Matthew Lettieri. “I was just there the Saturday after Thanksgiving for a late-night meal and they couldn’t have been more friendly, even to all the inebriated customers who came in after a long night out,” Lettieri added.
A “lifelong” patron of the diner also said, “I’ve never seen someone get kicked out of there, let alone shouted at by staff.”
