‘The Walking Dead’ Season 10 Finale Major Death Could Be Daryl Dixon, Father Gabriel

"The Walking Dead" Season 10 finale is expected to feature the death of a popular character, and bets are on Father Gabriel, Daryl Dixon and King Ezekiel.

"The Walking Dead" Season 10 finale will feature the highly anticipated war between the survivors and the Whisperers. But while there hasn’t been any confirmation regarding who will die in the season-ender, here’s a round-up of all the possibilities.

Daryl Dixon

Norman Reedus’ Daryl has come up in talks of a major character death since the first images from the finale were released earlier this month. One picture shows Daryl walking near a group of zombies, and according to one popular theory, he could be killed off by a random Whisperer.

Interestingly, chief content officer Scott Gimple also hinted at Daryl’s death in July when he said anyone looking after Judith (Cailey Fleming) and her brother (Antony Azor) could be in trouble.

"If you look at Judith's history of parents and guardians, they're the ones in danger," Gimple said during July’s Comic-Con@Home event.

"Judith is taking care of herself fine, even taking care of RJ. Anybody who gets in that position with Judith winds up going, and she came into this world with a difficult sort of situation," he continued. "I'm just saying, I'm not as worried about RJ and Judith as the person taking care of them."

Judith and her brother were entrusted to Daryl’s care by Michonne (Danai Gurira) before she went off in search of Rick (Andrew Lincoln).

Father Gabriel

If the AMC drama follows its source material, "The Walking Dead" comics by Robert Kirkman, then Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) could be the next victim of Beta (Ryan Hurst).

While guarding the water tower during the war against the Whisperers, Father Gabriel slips and dangles from a ladder. This makes him an easy target for Beta, who feeds the priest to his horde of walkers.

King Ezekiel

Another popular character that seems to be on borrowed time is Khary Payton's Ezekiel. Early on in "The Walking Dead" Season 10, it was revealed that the character was suffering from thyroid cancer, and it won’t be long before the disease takes him out.

In the comics, Ezekiel also doesn't make it. He gets killed by Alpha and his head is put on a pike.

Beta

Beta, the leader of the Whisperers, could be killed by Lydia (Cassady McClincy) in "The Walking Dead" finale, according to Cinemablend. Although Daryl is the character most likely to kill off Beta, the writers could allow Lydia to be the one to take out the character for his role in raising her in the Whisperers' unstable environment.

Meanwhile, the Season 10 finale, titled "A Certain Doom," was originally set to air on April 12, but post-production work was put on hold due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

It was recently confirmed that "The Walking Dead" Season 10 finale will air on Oct. 4 on AMC, and there will be six additional episodes before Season 11.
