‘Walking Dead’ Season 4 Spoilers: What Will Happen In Episode 5, ‘Internment’? [PHOTOS & VIDEOS]
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD
“Walking Dead” viewers were left with a glimmer of hope at the end of episode 4 when Daryl and his crew were able to get the drugs for the sick survivors. But they still have to make it back to the prison … and the number of survivors is quickly dwindling.
What can fans expect from episode 5 of the hit AMC series? According to a synopsis for “Internment”: “Assorted enemies pressure Rick and the group; the survivors and the prison may reach a breaking point.”
The synopsis is open for interpretation and opens the door for a lot of speculation, but fortunately videos from the coming episode shed a little more light on the drama to unfold.
In the promo video for episode 5, Hershel is still in the quarantine ward trying to help the sick residents with elderberries. But the illness plaguing the prison isn’t getting any better. Rick manages to make it back to the group and he appears to be in the nick of time -- because a gunshot from the prison echoes through the field. Whether the gunshot was intended to kill a resident that died from the flu, a form of protection, or from an outside enemy remains to be revealed -- but what can definitely be confirmed is that blood will spill.
A second video of “Internment” gives a sneak peek at one of the coming scenes between Hershel and Dr. S. When Hershel goes to check in on him, Dr. S pulls away. “Doctors make the worst patients,” Herhshel tells him, trying to keep the conversation light. But Dr. S isn’t optimistic. “You need to focus on the ones that can make it,” he says, pain in his voice.
Fearing that the sick residents will start dying one by one, Dr. S shows Hershel that he has a gun and bullets stored in his room. But Hershel’s not ready to give in.
“You have a chance,” Dr. S argues.
“I’m not giving up on anyone,” Hershel counters. “Not yet.”
Realizing that Hershel can’t be convinced, Dr. S leaves him with one last request: “Just make sure everyone's doors are shut.”
