‘Walking Dead’ Season 5 Spoilers: Episode 14 Synopsis Released Online; Photos And Videos For ‘Spend’
Is Alexandria truly a safe haven for Rick’s (Andrew Lincoln) group? “The Walking Dead” will continue to explore that idea in episode 14 of Season 5, “Spend.”
Last week the survivors did their best to fit into their new surroundings … even though Rick, Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) were plotting their takeover. Knowing life outside and seeing Alexandria’s inexperience in dealing with threats made the trio uneasy. However by the end of the episode, Daryl pulled out of the plan. He discovered that starting over inside the walls could be a possibility, and he was willing to commit to that.
According to the synopsis for episode 14, Rick’s group will face “challenges” while “trying to secure a new home.” But does that mean Rick and Carol are still going to try to become the leaders of Alexandria? Or are they looking to expand the safe haven? The episode description for “Spend” adds that they’ll “question the utopia they find themselves in.”
While the synopsis is short, “Walking Dead” fans can pull some clues from the sneak peek videos. One clip from episode 14 shows Eugene (Josh McDermitt) and Tara (Alanna Masterson) outside the walls. It’s not exactly clear what they’re up to, but one thing is certain – Eugene is not happy to be around walkers again. Like the people of Alexandria, Eugene is inexperienced when dealing with the dead. Tara warns him that he’s gotta start pulling his weight.
The second sneak peek video from “Spend” shows Rick with Jessie’s (Alexandra Breckenridge) husband, Pete (Corey Brill). Pete appears to be drinking alcohol, and their meeting looks tense. There is no denying that the two men don’t like or trust each other, however Pete makes an effort to play nice. He offers Carl (Chandler Riggs) and baby Judith a check up before telling Rick that they should be friends … because they “kind of have to be.”
“The Walking Dead” Season 5, episode 14 airs on AMC on Sunday, March 15, at 9 p.m. EDT. Watch the sneak peek videos below:
