‘The Walking Dead’ Star Jeffrey Dean Morgan Announces Birth Of Second Child
Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a dad once again!
The “Walking Dead” actor announced on Twitter on Thursday that his second child with wife Hilarie Burton has arrived. “Hey y’all... baby gal morgan is spectacular,” Morgan tweeted. “We just respecting her wishes for laying low a bit longer. But we super appreciate all the well wishes n stuff. Thank you. Xojdhilgusandbabygal.”
Morgan and Burton, who are also parents to 7-year-old son Augustus, revealed that they were expecting another child while posing for pictures on the 2017 Emmy Awards red carpet last September.
A few days later, Morgan accidentally spilled the sex of the baby during a Q&A at a “Supernatural” convention in New Jersey. Morgan even took to Instagram to share a photo of his shocked reaction right after he inadvertently made the revelation in front of a lot of fans.
“Whoever took this picture?? [You] caught a moment … thank you. We shall cherish [it],” the “Grey’s Anatomy” alum captioned the pic. “I texted @hilarieburton right after I spilled the little girl beans… and, as usual… she was a rockstar. After all these years she’s come to expect me to be a dope… thank god she gets it, and loves me regardless.”
At “The Walking Dead” Season 8 premiere event in Los Angeles last October, Morgan revealed to E! News what Augustus thinks about becoming a big brother. “I think for Gus he’s just hoping that means different toys that the baby will have as opposed to his,” Morgan shared at the time. “And I tried to tell him that, ‘No, whatever you play with that baby’s gonna want.’ But we’re excited.”
“I’m very excited,” Morgan reiterated in a separate interview with Us Weekly at the same “The Walking Dead” event. “I think in my life, I think that being a dad is my favorite thing in the world, bar none. So the opportunity to do it again, and maybe not screw it up as bad as I have already, that would be great.”
Morgan, who was previously married to Anya Longwell, has been in a relationship with Burton since 2009.
