Wall St ends down on renewed Greece fears
Stocks ended down on Friday, with the Dow snapping its eight-session winning streak, as renewed worries about Greece sparked a climb in the dollar and weighed on commodity prices.
Based on the latest available data, the Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> slipped 37.19 points, or 0.35 percent, to end unofficially at 10,741.98. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> shed 5.93 points, or 0.51 percent, to finish unofficially at 1,159.90. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> lost 16.87 points, or 0.71 percent, to close unofficially at 2,374.41.
For the week, the Dow ended up 1.1 percent, the S&P 500 up 0.9 percent and the Nasdaq up 0.3 percent.
